Vodafone : Hidden Charges

Last night my mobile balance was Rs. 123 and today morning it was Rs. -9. Not a single call made, Not a singe message being sent. mysteriously all balanced been snatched away. Check out vodafone's hidden charges.

I have written an email to them. I will keep you posted when they reply me.

I switched to vodafone from airtel since one year. Its been a pleasant experience so far. I like to use pre-paid services because they are cheap and i am comfortable with them. I have an high end smart phone. Motorola Milestone. My issue is with the vodafone VL 99 data plan. I have been using this data plan since last 5 months.

The very basic issue is

1) When the data plan is over. I do not recieve an SMS saying Your data plan is terminated you will have to recharge of 99 to continue using services. The money gets cut directly from my balance account. Because of this i lose around 100 to 150 rs. every month in 1 or 2 days. Since my data usage on phone are always very high.

2) I tried to activate VL 99 scheme earlier this month 3 times but every time it said You are not allowed to use this service. I tried to activate this scheme 4th and 5 th of june i am attaching the screen shot of my message.

3) I have lost my balance from Rs.123 to Rs.-9 in one night. THIS IS WRONG.

2) I try to refill at 1st of every month so that my ACT VL 99 plan remains active. This month however it just did not get active. I sent 3 sms this month.

I keep losing money almost every month. I have had it now. So help me out below

Give me a number where i get to know exactly which date my data plan ends.
Give me a number where i can check my data plan usage.
I need a message to be sent to my mobile when my data plan is been finished.
I also expect you restore my balance as it is not fair to charge your customer for services he has no idea about.

I would be expecting a reply soon.

I posted a tweet on vodafone twitter http://twitter.com/#!/vodafonein but then still awaiting reply.

If any other vodafone prepaid customers have any issue please comment below.

Their customer care executive called and informed me that he will send my feedback further and he told me to email my query at their customer care support. vodafonecare.mum@vodafone.com
He told me he is supposed to get back to me with a solution.Vodafone have established communication but issue still remains unsolved.

Though not of a sports person, i felt to share something about not-so-little-champ of India. Even after being a legend, there is an other side of sachin, A not-so-seen side, a not-so-understood side. There is a reason a person would say "I don't wanna be Sachin."

Remember when you failed an examination. How many people recall that, your class, friends, relatives? You failed to make it to the IITs or IIMs. Who remembers. How many times have you had the feeling of being the best in your class, school , university, state….., you failed to get a visa stamped this quarter…, you missed a promotion this year…, how did it feel when you dad told you in your early twenties that you are good for nothing…..and now your boss tell you the same...

You keep introspecting and go into a shell when people most of whom don’t matter a dime in your life criticize you, back bite you, make fun of you. You are left sad and shattered and you cry when your own kin scoffs at you. You say I am feeling low today. It takes a lot from us to come out of these everyday situations and move on. A lot??? really?

Now here’s a man standing on the third man boundary in the last over of a world cup match. The bowler just has to bowl sensibly to win this game. What the man at the boundary sees is 4 rank bad bowls bowled without any sense of focus, planning or regret. India loses, yet again in those circumstances when he has done just about everything right.

He does not cry. Does not show any emotion. Just keeps his head down and leaves the field. He has seen these failures for 22 years now. And not just his class, relatives, friends but the whole world has seen these failures. We are too immature to even imagine what goes on in that mind and heart of his. That’s why I would never want to be Sachin.

True, he has single handedly lifted to moods of this entire nation umpteen number of times. He has been an inspiration to rise above our mediocrity. Nobody who has ever lifted the willow even comes close to this man’s genius. His dedication and metal strength is unparallel. This is specially for those people who would have made fun of him again last night when India lost. They are people who are mediocre in their own lives. Who just scoff at others to create cheap fun. Who have lived in a small hole throughout their lives and thought they have seen the oceans.

Think about the man himself. He is 37 years of age. He has been playing almost non stop for 22 years. The way he was running and diving around the field last night would have put 22 year olds to shame. The way he played the best opening quickies in the world was breathtaking. He just keeps getting better which is by the way humanly impossible. Its not for nothing that people call him GOD.

But still I don’t want to be in those shoes. We struggle in keeping our monotonous lives straight, lives which affect a limited number of people. Imagine what would be the magnitude of the inner struggle for him, pain both mental and physical, tears that have frozen with time, knees and ankles and every other joint in the body that is either bandaged or needs to be attended to every night, eyes that don’t sleep before a big game, bats that have scored 99 international tons and still see expectations from a billion people.

And he just converts those expectations into reality. We watch in awe, feel privileged.

Well I think its time that his team realizes that enough is enough. They have an obligation, not towards their country alone but towards sachin. They need to win this one for him. Stay assured that he himself will still deliver and leave no stone unturned to make sure India wins this cup. This is not just a game, and he is not just a sportsman. Its much more than this. Words fail here.....

Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows : Movie Review

Movie PLOT

We have been growing, enjoying, learning magic together with wizard boy Harry Potter and director David Yates shows us the beginning of the end where the boy-who-lived completes his journey in First part of Deathly Hollows. J.K. Rowling has a magnificent plot. Albus Dumbledore , Serious Black are Dead. Lord Voldemort is Alive and stronger as ever. Harry has reached the age where from now his mothers protection will wear off soon. Entire army of Death Eaters chasing Harry Hermione and Ron. Harry now has to find out and destroy four horcruxes out of seven and here’s where the movie begins.

ACTING

Daniel Radcliffe is most convincing in lead role as harry potter. Daniel has successfully played An orphan, always bullied,famous,curse-burdened wizard over the seven years in seven films.

Being a die-hard book fan Rowling has done just superb job in creating Harry’s character, So perfect that i actually was taken to Hogwarts seven times in seven books. We read perceive and believe the characters in our minds. To recreate those same characters from book is not so simple but a wonderful job done. Daniel has relived our memories of book on screen.

Ron has more to do in this series than crack jokes,eat junk food and look stupid. First time in movie Harry and Ron are given equal preference and Ron does rescue Harry destroying one of the horcruxes. Rupert Grint has been really mature and gives us surprises. Emma on the other hand takes glamorous quotient of entire movie in her hands. She looks beautiful,sharp-witted,intelligent and knowing charms-on-demand definitely she acts as a life saver.

Cinematography

Eduardo Serra has brought the magical world to reality. Yes a commendable job done on creating such grand and exotic locations which definitely get “Oh My God.” , “Awesome” cries from the audience once they are shown in theatre. I was blown away by the details to the finer level. Lighting of movie helped the movie flow. Like when death eater summoned Lord Voldemort Darkness grew along with tension in our eyes and hearts. Many Dark forests are been shown, The magnificent wizard school Hogwarts has always been a visual delight right from the philosophers stone.

New Dark locations in school of wizardry and witchcraft are been shown, example the group session of death eaters and Lord Voldemort in the movie intro scene with Nagini the Dark lord’s serpant is scary and you definitely skip a beat while seeing it. Along a Long commendable job done in bringing the book locations on live cinema.

Animation and Graphics

Well the movie gets less points on this one. All the harry potter movies had memorable graphics and visual effects. Catching of the Golden Snitch in Philosoper’s stone or slaying of the snake in chamber of secrets and so on. The Magic part in the magical movie is as low as it can be.

Movie does have few animated scenes but most of them are easily forgettable one’s. Astonishing visual special effects is one reason why harry potter movies get a repeat audience. The movie remains more of a stage-drama than a movie. Most of the movie goes in hiding and running The action part is not-just-there.

Final Verdict

Movie is really brilliant in pieces but as a whole package put together it just did not work for me. Nice acting, beautiful locations but even after concentrating on minor detail when i looked to the movie as a whole i felt the soul of movie was missing. There was something which was not there, at least not there enough for me to notice. I get it MAGIC.Simple question what is a Magical movie without enough magic. Enough time is wasted clearing the concept of symbols and story of 3 brothers who asked 3 different thing from death. Also roomer is that the best is saved for the last. But for harry potter and deathly hollows part 1 it is no use and not advisable to watch the movie in 3D.

The all time favorite Voldemort and harry potter Duelling would be my one of the favorite scenes would hope that director would film it really larger than life.

The end of the Magical Saga should be Legendary and if they have saved the Best for the last, then David Yates is definitely expected to show the most amazing special effects in cinematic history of Hollywood.

My verdict, Any loyal HP fan, it’s your religion to go and watch this movie. Movie is slow paced so even if you want to you cannot stand the same movie twice. So in this way the First part of the Last part goes leaving us little unsatisfied. But we are Harry potters loyal fans and we definitely expect a great ending of movie. Here’s the trailer of movie for all those who would want to see it.

Guzarish : Movie Review

It’s not everyday you get a movie that touches your heart. Guzarish is a movie that has so much to offer that you cannot take all of it in one time watch. Different way to view Life, Positive way to live it,enjoy it, play it after all Sau gram zindagi. A very light hearted film talking on topic of mercy-killing. Emotionally HIGH Musically LEGENDARY and cinematically GENIOUS. I have lived my 3 hours of live fully on a journey with Ethan Mascarenhas.

ACTING

With a dream cast like Hrithik Roshan,Aishwarya Rai Bachhan and having a dream director magician, Mr. Bhansali No less than perfect can be expected. In any point of time i never felt hrithik was acting, He was living Ethan Mascarenhas. What would a football player do without legs ? Cricketer without hands ? A magician without both hands and legs. Portraying a complex character of Ethan must be very difficult yet Hrithik looks so effortless. Aishwarya on the other hand looks stunningly beautiful. She has very less dialogues but she delivers a great performance with emotions and her dance moves. Yes surely money is worth seeing her dance.

DIALOGUE

”I love GOD and that is why i am dying to meet him”, “Fail again and Try Again and then Fail Again and Try Again” Well these two were my personal favorites and i can’t reveal them all. The court-room scene dialogues are just fantastic. Well you gotta see the movie to live them all. YES i said LIVE them not HEAR them. Dialogue-delivery of each of star cast is right to your heart.

MUSIC

Not from the traditional era, Its from the wonderland the SLB has brought the music of guzarish. Simple Yet deep Sau Gram Zindagi. Happy and total fun UDI.. and definitely the title song being the soul of movie Bas itni si tumse Guzarish hain. The video below shows the geniuses of director and the musical director of the film

Sanjay Leela Bhansali is known for his sad ending in movies which would definitely make you leave theatre’s in moist eyes. The trend started from Hum Dil… followed by DevDas.. and was also somewhat in Saawariya… But Guzarish is different. Yes SLB leaves you in moist eyes but no you are happy when you leave hall. When you leave you carry something very special that bhansali gives you in abundance and abundace. LOTS OF HOPE Loved the movie. Such stories need to be heared and such cinema brings proud to industry as well as nation. Proud of you Sanjay Sir Love you always

ROM(A) :: "Developers are seriously insane and this gazing idiot is living proof of it." Roma talked to herself.

Rishi: "Dude what the hell ? I would give her my both kidneys if she asked such sweetly.”

GO: "so much for a return gift.” Go replied and got lost in error log.

Rishi removed GO’s wrist pen drive from his drawer.

GO: “No No 970 MB to be exact but 10 to 15 MB varies from manufacturer to manufacturer.”

Things were never same for GO. He came to his desk and couldn't concentrate go was responsible for monitoring the bank system. Network monitor, he had to raise a flag as soon as he saw suspicious activity. He had all backdoor authentication of servers after all GO was the one to create the security system which he was monitoring.

Rishi : “Rascal !!! you are missing since 10 min’s. where were you ?”

GO : “1 gb pen drive I love you Rishi ”

GO embraced Rishi real hard

GO turned back ROM was standing there. GO turned bonkers his heart was pounding.

ROM smiled and went away.

GO looked at Rishi. Rishi knew exactly what he had to do.

Rishi : Mrs. ROMA Bajaj , She’s married i confirmed her name on watchman’s register

ROM(A) : ”GO.. Your 1 GB pen drive and more thing i m not coming back so you can go back to work. ”

Go laughed and went back to work. He saw his drive and plugged it in.He checked pen drive and everything was empty just 1 file named sorry.He opened the file. “I m sorry you are a real sweetheart you deserve better”

GO :”SORRY ? What the hell ?? ”

Error log was flooding with errors

GO :”HACKED !!! SHIT"

He looked at pen drive for authentication in servers but DRIVE WAS EMPTY.

GO : “Shit m screwed. “

These were the last words of GO in organization. he was JAILED for 6 months for violation of privacy act.

I have never been a guy of science nor Math. despite being such detached from the subject, the myths floating about the subject have always amazed me.

Myth 1 Is time travel really possible ??

This is one question existing since decades.one challenge on the heavy shoulders of science.

1 ) Time travel is a very fascinating and interesting question often been discussed for intellectual happiness or for entertainment in movies. It is a myth which is been discussed that

MYTH : A time circle exists and we travel with that time circle that’s why we live in present.if we can travel at speed of light or faster than speed of light we can break the time circle and travel either forward or backward in time.

Vivid Imaginations : Following Movie Deja Vu provides a very interesting philosophy, An interesting thought explaining how did the scientist in the movie have an break through creating space time window.

The discussion is intellectually enhancing. But problem is a script writer can invent a fantasy world faster than a scientist can look into atoms. The idea of folding space is just absurd.

REALITY : The myth seems vague because time circle is a non-existent virtual entity which is assumed to be there. There is no solid proof of its existence, and even if we do believe it exists FTL(Faster than light) itself is another myth. Albert Einstein’s special theory of relativity lead up to a remarkable conclusion that no object, whether animate or inanimate, can ever, under any means travel faster than speed of light.

HOPE : They said we cannot travel faster than sound but then we invented mark 15‘s. Now they say we cannot travel faster than light. Dev Dash with Dhavalyours : Art of buying a Domain

I always have breathed and believed in open-source. Human knowledge should be shared. That's why this is one post I will take you to my journey of buying a domain name.
What's in name ? I think proverb holds less significance in online digital world. Many people had a question "Dhaval when you own one website why do you want one more ? ?" It takes huge energy and effort to convince them dhavalyours is a blog. Its just a domain name and redirected to my existing blogger page.
Buying my first domain was fairly easy. I wanted to introduce myself to the digital world. Dhavalyours.com was a good and only option I would go with. I started my website with great enthusiasm which I try very hard to keep updated.SEO wise there was one problem I faced. There was one website already existing with name "dhavaltours.com" so whenever I would type dhavalyours in google it would always suggest me dhavaltours pissing me off. I sat down and tried to understand Google's algorithms. Then I eventually realized more number of blog post’s I write, more I share, more will the relevance of dhavalyours.com will come.

And to a certain extent it helped also. So this time I was mega- cautious while buying a new domain . I wanted a catchy domain. I wanted a 1 letter tob3 letter domain name. So I started my domain hunt.

Domain hunt technique 1

Technique: I started with numbers like zero.com,one.com etc..
All were bought. Then I started with two letter combination like aa.com ab.com etc... I insanely tried till az.com.

RESULT : Almost all domains were bought and the remaining were not purchasable or not atleast at the price I could buy them, one of the domain had a cost of more than 5 lacks. Idea Dropped, new Idea.

Domain hunt technique 2

Technique: I published a feed to Facebook asking my friends to help me out with domain names. And yes I got suggestions and I was certainly excited with the response The domain names suggested were dp.com, dy.com, fu.com,jk.com, chu.com, gpl.com, maa.com, PKT.com,IDO.pk, QB.com, 69.com, SEX.com (Mehboob Ali Suggestion)

RESULT : Almost all suggestions were bought. One thing i learnt, The purpose of website should be clear to people who are suggesting you domain name. All domain name's suggested were either weird and no relevance. As a matter of fact I learnt that sex.com is the most expensive domain. Idea Dropped, new Idea.

Domain hunt technique 3

Technique: I was frustrated because at this point of time all the good domains were booked and taken. I wanted a 3 letter domain name, Relevance mattered a little. I just wanted an available 3 letter domain. I found out all 3 letters existing in oxford dictionary I found a website which had a list of all 3 letter words. Now I used an Html Dom parser to parse html and get all the 3 letter words in an array. Before adding them to array I converted them to domain e.g. www.egg.com etc... now I used php get_headers function to find out which are the words whose domain name is not bought.

RESULT : News for you fellow's every 3 letter world is bought with a .com domain. But my attempt was not a complete failure. I found out below listed domain names which are short and available domain names.

AVAILABLE NOT BOUGHT DOMAIN NAMES WHEN THIS POST IS BEEN WRITTEN

One more thing these domains are available around 500 to 1000 INR. Most of them are available at price of Rs.500 at Go Daddy

Idea had results but i was left in a confused state of mind.

Domain hunt technique 4

Technique: Now i had list of available domain name’s the problem of relevance aroused now. None of this is relevant to what i wanna make. I had one domain in mind reinventingdreams.com. The problem was it was too long and too preachy and it definitely does not go by my style and personality. I was frustrated and annoyed. BULLSHIT I M BUYING AND I M BUYING IT NOW. Almost entering my credit card details i asked to myself “Are you sure you want this ??” Long silence. I said Lets try once more. I had 5 friends online on chat i started discussing and asking them suggestions for domain name’s.

Result: The chat session was hilarious and really funny. I would like to paste the really enjoyable part …

Big day we call it Armaggadeon.

I was browsing my cupboard for a formal dress. After throwing like thousand t-shrits and hundred pants I found a plain black jeans and shirt. Now the important question is

where the F is the tie? ?? Oh dads marriage was put to a good use here. I took dads marriage-dress tie and was ready for the war.

Mom looks at me for her 3 step bye bye

Step 1 : The big Ekta Kapoor sindhur on my fore-head

Step 2 : The dahi mixed with million other religious substances

Step 3 : The nazar utaro round (my mom's favorite.)

Here thali goes 360 degrees round and round with my face as circumference 3 times. Now she slaps hard real hard on my right cheek. In Gujrathi family it is symbolized as act of love

The F bastards were discussing how to make a proper tie when they should be discussing process models. But mumbai engineers always gave priority to bullshit.

Now finally the bell rings and viva starts..

SHAKILA the don comes out

Shakila : "Roll no. 13,14 and 15 Come in fast with journals."

Meenal akankasha and SUHAS were the called out geniuses.

Akki started panicking

Akki : " SUHAS mera journal le Gaya re.... main toh pakka fail hu where is he ??? " she started crying " shit man puri raat padha tha, saala yeh gadhe ke bache ki wajah se fail ho jaane ka............. "

I personally hated viva's for this shit. Poor girl was shit-scared and really crying for life.

Viva is the only prostitution where you pay to get yourself fucked.

and then SUHAS came running from mens loo.

SUHAS : " Yeh le tera file "

Akki :(hitting him hard) Kidhar tha kamine ??? (wiping tears and snatching the journal ) aur meri file ko kidhar leke kya karne gaya tha ??

SUHAS : " muje Laga last number se Chalu hoga. is liye.. "

Meenal : "Tu sochta kyun hain ? Tuje pata hain na tuje suite nahi karta ?"

First batch enters the lab absolute silence everywhere.

Shakila : "So sab tayyar ? Kitna padha hain ?"

Meenal : " Thoda Thoda sab kuch padha hain mam." (Smart answer it meant she knew almost nothing.)

Month of may, Sun on the head and the viva room was as hot as hell and make it worse fans were not working in labs. As it is SUHAS was already sweating...

SUHAS : " kitna garmi hain idhar ..... "

Shakila : "Kya bola ???"

SUHAS : " kuch nai mam nothing ... "

Shakila : [ She gave him look like he was gonna kill him.] Garmi hain na...... ek Kaam kar Thandi me aa... Come next november. Go Get Lost.

SUHAS : " Sorry mam sorry... "

Shakila : SUHAS na... next semester ke pehle mu nahi dikhane ka jao aaram se thandi mein aao jao [ she threw his journal on his face. ]

SUHAS comes out and does the "I m screwed " hand-sign and disappears again in loo.

Batch 1 comes out both girls almost crying... now it was our turn. Me Vaibhav and Mayuri.

Mayuri was my best friend. Girls as you know are organized as always. She had her and my journal ready we had a deal she would help me with diagrams and I would take care of viva and project presentation.

Shakila : " So hero kya padha hain ???"

Dhaval Pancholi : Mam pucho mam... [ this is the safest thing to say in

viva in this way you dont say how much u have learnt or not learnt. ]

Shakila : " so tell me an example of AI Vaibhav ?"

Vaibhav looks at Mayuri looks down and does our TP (time pass ) action no. 48

and looks at lap he is a gonner now. So now Shakila looks at Mayuri.

Mayuri knew only two words artificial intelligence and here is what she replies ...

Mayuri Pimple : [ English mode ] Intelligence not in any human form is AI [ Marathi mode ] toh vyakti cha swatah cha dimag nahi wapart nasto konta tari robot cha example ghew ya aapan. (bullshit in two languages best technique to pass in viva.)

Mayuri Pimple now gave away her innocent looks. I donno how but it always worked.

Shakila turns over to me now asks me something out of context , out of chapter, out of syllabus , out of computing history.

Shakila :Ok dhaval I have 2 mountains with a valley between them now I have truck at height of. 1 mountain how do I get to another mountain ?

Ok now my turn. BULL SHIT QUESTION ........... WTF is this ??? i m a genious not a F rocket scientist ?? but all three of us knew i was so gonna bluff this one.....

Dhaval Pancholi : OK mam. We will consider 2 mountains as two points and now we will calculate the shortest path between two Points and now considering our object's width which is truck in this place we take the best path. We can use both DFS (Depth first Search) algorithm and BFS(breadth first search) algorithm to find the shortest path. I would personally go with BFS since our object would have big width.

Complete Bluff Had released an arrow in the Dark and Bam. i hit the target WE SCORED.

Shakila : OK cool submit your files and call next batch.

I was saved. Results were out everybody passed. i scored 22/25 and Mayuri Pimple 24/25 Did i forget to mention "our college was racist." Yes marathi students did get best marks in viva and had their work done quickly. So goes my another Best Post on Bekar Engineer. I hope you guys would love to comment as i have enjoyed writing it.

Hi all writing this blog post would be a real threat to my life. Some character names are been changed for my own security purposes. I know its risky but i wanted everyone to hear our story So buckle up and enjoy the wackiest Engineering exam ever.

Mehul : Dhaval, SHAKILA Kal BAMBOO maarne waali hain.

Phone cut. Absolute silence . Maa... Dhuri All my balls in my mouth. Shit Man this woman is really gonna screw our batch.

I was called the sms-man of my college. I wrote an sms " SHAKILA man viva tomm. 10 am sharp." and everybody understood this sharp meant a lot because 10 am and 1 freaking millisecond meant lecture elimination. I hit the send-to-all button.

Now i knew entire world is gonna call me and i m having 1 talkative sleepless night.

Call 1 Mayuri Pimple
Mayuri Pimple : Dha saale nind kyun kharab karta hain re ?? Aur haan sab yaad karke aana main last viva mein absent thi.

Dhaval Pancholi : Par mayu...

Phone disconnected. mayu had missed her last viva for her friends, friends 6th cousin 's 12'th Birthday party. YES such relations DID matter for mayu. by the way mayu was in my batch and my best friend.It was me Vaibhav and Mayuri.

Art of Missing a Best Friend :: Yatin Patil

They say and I strongly believe

"GOD gave us our relatives Thank GOD we can choose our friends"

Its very very rare that u may find someone to connect with, someone who would share your thoughts, some one matching your own frequency. They say in times of scarcity it is always soothing to have a friend than have money. But again TRUE friend is really hard to find because I believe it is not something which can be found it is something which happens your good luck or your past life good karma' may be. This post might hurt a lot of people because many regard me as their Best friend, Seriously no offense guys but these are the people whom i regard as mine. I have been fortunate to have 4 BEST friends in my life.

Best Friend 1: Yatin ( The problem solver )

   First began with Yatin. I still remember 5th std. When I was in my P.T.( Physical training) class walter sir compared a fat dark black small humpty-dumpty kind of kid with a feather weight Mathew Kunjumon. He said and I quote

   "What are u proud of huh!! This Mathew here can defeat u in all sports running, skipping( ya walter sir considered skipping as a sport   ) U fatso good for nothing only would beat this guy in wrestling n not even in chess. "

   2 Big tear drops from 2 big eyes. And I found my BEST friend in 5th standard. after period got over I said "chu.... ko koi akkal nai hai... Chod be walter ko.. "( Yeah thats right i stared swearing from my 5th standard. I believed it helps if you start early. ) You know the usual, 2 beggars who are beaten same shift tend to stick together, same was the case with me and Yatin. Yatin was FAT by sideffects and I was USELESS by birth. The only problem I had with all my friends was same with yatin. Total number of marks I would get in all subjects combined they would get in 1 subject. Hell man seriously being a looser has a shift fucking life. I helped him out in school and he shared all the pacman , mario prince of persia video games.

Yatin at this age.

I know we would go to his new house sit in the garden and would dream. Yatin loved space, I on other hand was clueless why the hell i existed ? But slowly i caught up with him. He always would repeat the famous dialog "Houston we have a problem !!". Before our tenth standard final exams we both had decided. We would become astronaut's in NASA. Yatin always had fancy shit to tell me "Dhaval tuje pata hain NASA mein scientist ko free chocolate ice-creams milte hain ?? Are Sugar se mental activity badhta hain na." And that would be our reason to eat chocolates at almost every damn occasion.

India match Jeeta "Chalo Chocolate khate hain".
Sangeeta miss nahi aayi "Chalo Chocolate khate hain".
Rita Parera ne aaj nahi maara "Chalo Chocolate khate hain".
Aaj sirf 2 baar su su kiya "Chalo Chocolate khate hain".
Marathi mein pass ho gaye "Chalo Chocolate khate hain".

Yatin me and Hiten.

Dreams do fail / change / are crushed. After Tenth. I took Diploma in Computer Engg. and Yatin took 12th. We would always complain about our 86 batch. All the bad things always used to happen to the 1986 batch only. Following are bad things that happened to 1986 born and 2002 batch which passed 10th in Mumbai.

English Paper was postponed in Std. 10th for 18 days ruining our vacation.
In Diploma we got hardest Visual Basic paper in history of MSBTE (which surprisingly i passed.)
In 12th Goverment first time introduced CET. to get entrance in engg. (which surprisingly Yatin Passed)
In First Year Engineering got the hardest Mechanics paper in History of existing planet. Every newton and einstien failed in it.(which surprisingly Yatin Passed he admits this. )
Recession was at the top when we graduated So all allocated placements were either cancelled or been delayed for 1 year. (My reliance placement was cancelled and yatin's infosys placement was delayed.)

Proud to be of 2002 batch me and Yatin still consider ourselves as HERO's of Indian Academics. Since we were in the hardest fucking batch of Education History We would have our hearts filled with content and achievement. And Yes we never did forget Chindhi-giri in our lives See i have a live recording of it.

After our Engineering me and Yatin we parted. He was for 1 year in Banglore Infosys and then he went US to pursue his Post-graduation. I on the other hand m working as an Web Developer in Experience Commerce.

Yatin thinks he will earn more dollars in US. Oye hum bhi kam nahi

Both are happy in their respective fields (Computer Engineering) But somewhere i feel we would work together Yatin just complete your M.S. i m waiting for you here Lets Create History man. Oh.. yeah and by the way the post had to be about 4 friends. But Yatin took away most of the footage. No worry lets keep this as a suspense my new post would bring my remaining 3 best friends in my life. Till then

Should Prostitution be legalized in India ?

I know a very bold topic to be discussed, But hey as you know i don't do anything that is normal. Ok this is first Debate in my blog and i really like to bring professionals before you. Our guest for today would be Mr. Abhay Agarwal. Abhay is copywriter for Experience Commerce and he gets the credit for writing copy at Royal Challengers, Super Popular Friend and was pretty difficult competitor to have debate with. So finally we called a neutral judge Shazia Shaikh to give the final verdict for our debate. So here is how it goes.

Dhavalyours: Prostitution has been the second most ancient occupation in india since agriculture. Since the ancient times it has been going on and we do find cultural references of it. Its been high time that we accept it and make it legalized.

Abhay: Just because it's been an "ancient proffesion" in India, and there have been cultural refrences to it, it isn't nesicerily mean that it should be legalised. using that rationale, even Sati should be legalised. I agree that there were many good traditions in ancient india, but prostitution, wasn't one of them.

Dhavalyours: Sati is been almost eliminated in India. The percentage of women being raped is much more than a women performing sati ritual. We had taken an initiative to stop sati 200 years ago and we have been successful to eliminate most of it. So its high time we take initiative for this cause.

Abhay: But was sati abolished, by legalising it? or was it abolished, because the british government clamped down hard on a ritual that it considered barbaric? The british government, was able to abolish the practice, since they didn't profit from it in any way.

Dhavalyours: Agreed Abhay the issue of feminine respect has been of high concern. Statistically it is proved that the rape percentage in India is increasing as ever. Women are not safe. Delhi is the raping-capital of india, Sense of security has been of major Issue. I would'nt wish to come home and find that my wife, mother,sister n the worse case even my daughter is been raped by some sex-seeking maniac, ruining life of my entire family. If Prostitution is Legalized and is open to public, Men can get a proper official place to relieve themselves which would eventually reduce the rape percentage in our country what say ?

Abhay: But prostitution is not an answer to prevent rape. Men get sexually frustrated, because of our famous ancient tradition, that make pre-marital sex a taboo. Anyways your as good as raping a prostitute, the only difference is: she agrees to have sex because you throw money at her.

Dhavalyours: Abhay i agree with you on this, but the question of women respect is what i wanna resolve. People denote these women as 'prostitutes' and you know what in hindi. If prostitution is legalized :

They would be referred as Sex-Workers.
There would be an age limit to women or men entering the profession of prostitution. This would save the small girls who are thrown into this business in their teens.
Proper contraceptions such as condoms would be used. This would avoid the sexual diseases such as AIDS.
Middle Level people such as Dalal's would be eliminated providing profit directly to the person as well as the government.
High taxes would be taken from each session.
Most importantly consent of the sex-worker would be taken in mind.
Since Sex worker would be benifiting goverment greatly Her future would be taken care of.
They would be given opportunity to part away from profession whenever she wants.
Monthly check ups would be oraganized to make sure their health and also if a person is healthy enough to mate.
They can do service to community by providing sex-education to youngsters OR whom we call ( the jumping hormones. )

Now if in this way prostitution is legalized the sexworkers would find it really

good. Its a bad bad world where sex-workers are harrassed by both the customers as well as sex-

agents as well as by Police and society. They are like officially rejected every where and this is

one ray of light which should help them.

Abhay: Instead of flatly legalising the problem, why not rehabilitate them? Give them an education & alternate means of living.It doesn't matter what you call them. At the end of the day, they still have to sell their bodies to earn a living.If you want to prevent small children from entering the business, then why can't the government do any thing now? Because they are hand-in-glove with the pimps.No woman would turn to prostitution on her own. It always comes down to an ultimatum. This is just an easy way for the government to ignore poverty: "why should we take care of impoverished women; if they want money, they can just become prostitutes."

Even if you legalise it now, you'll still have illegal redlight areas like you have now. If prostitutes don't have any choice now, then what choice will they have once, their pimps get more power?
You can talk about: their health, their rights, their "welfare" etc. But
the question still remains: why should any woman have to sell her body
to earn a living? Don't we have better options today?
What would you do if some girl in the future said: "I want to be a sex-worker when i grow up!" As far as Sex Education is concerned, why can't the teacher impart the
same knowledge? Are we, as a society, so sex-starved that we cannot
teach our own kids about sex?

Dhavalyours: See abhay as far as it goes we have a really close approach on this issue. Parents slap their kid when he/she asks the question "Mom what is sex ??" Or else intelligently he is been answered that it refers to gender. Result little boy goes to internet and searches porn. No no it is not to promote prostitution as a profession. It is to increase the self respect of sex workers. Their image in society. Now we cannot change the whole system in one day. What do we do is we try to control it by imposing strict rules and slowly go towards the path of eliminating it.

Abhay: Parents slap their children, because they don't know how to answer a question like that.Hiring a prostitute to answer these questions is not going to solve anything. There are many books in the market today that show parents how to teach their kids about "the birds & the bees". If their parents want, the can also search the net for help on explaining the facts of life to children. But by legalising it, you are telling people that it' OK to sell their bodies, and there by promoting it. as far as collecting tax goes:

Who in thier right mind would pay a prostitute, by cheque/card?
Who would want their bank records to show, that they have visited a prostitute?
If prostitue got payed only in cash, then how much of that would she declare to this great government of ours that has reduced her to a sex-worker?
Judging by the number of prostitutes in India, how much money would the IT department have to spend in order to conduct raids on all these "workers"?
If you legalise it, then it would become an industry(which it already is), and would be even more difficult to eliminate.

Dhavalyours: See again Abhay We have to accept 1 thing. I told you this is an ancient profession they have tried to remove it since centuries man, but just could'nt. Its high time we accept the truth that we cannot remove it from our society. but yes by bounding it to rules we can definitely have to control.

Abhay Being ancient is irrelevant. It was devised during a time of extreme male dominance. When we, as a society, were ten times more patriarchal than we are today. It was a profession created by men and for men...but using women.
Do you think that a women would want to be a prostitute, if she was qualified to be a doctor or a lawyer? Forget that; what if she had passed her 12th, and was eligible for being a cop? Dhaval, would you become a gigolo, if you had a B.E.? or any other qualification?

Dhavalyours: Again please dont take the privilege of getting personal with that statement. My Idea of Making Prostitution legal does not have pieces to make india rich by that money. Agreed it is a horrible profession and should be stopped. Definitely after taking a BE degree from respectable college and being sexually straight why the hell in the world i would turn into Giglo ?? Dignity of labor is the problem with the profession i completely agree. But millions of those who are already in this profession you can't just say them "Boss dukan band chalo kal se tata bye bye." right ?Yes we need to eradicate it out of our society and Legalizing is just the first baby step to do it.

Abhay: We are saying "dukaan band karo aur, hamaare saat doosra dukaan khol do." We can and we should give them an alternative means of livleyhood. Do you think they would go back to prostitution once they start working in an office?

Dhavalyours: Yes they may go back to where it started from, that concept also stands true. But if we plan to take immediate plan of action, Legalizing it is the option. We will definitely find a solution in future to stop it. Abhay my idea to legalize it is just for 1 generation.

But again from a lifestyle perspective it would be really cool enough to have a sex-education parlor.
You know where people from any age and any community can come and talk their sexual problems or would get their doubts solved.
There is a difference between a person telling a path and a person walking a path. Even your mother would tell you sex with unknown partner is wrong you may get STD (Sexually transmitted Diseases).
But if a you see a guy in person who has been living and struggling with a disease Impact is really deep into your hearts. The men / women so called sex workers would really get a chance to make people know about their stories to the world.
People would look at them as hero's, who would be contributing a substantial part in making India a better, mature country.

Abhay: There are already enough of sex clinics in Mumbai, that are run by qualified psychologists and sexologists. We also have many NGO's that teach people about aids; We don't need to use human guinea pigs, to teach children about STDs. Are you saying that you want people to get Aids so that they can teach others about it?
Why do we need to create even more prostitutes to teach kids about the evils of prostitution?
Do you think that a prostitute, would want her children to also grow up to be prostitutes?

Shazia: Ok Guys, you have to stop somewhere now. Its been a pleasure to watch you guys having a deep conversation over topic and discussing it from financial, social, educational and cultural perspective but here is what i would like to say I support to ban prostitution as every woman has the right to her dignity. They should be given alternative respectable jobs that do not only hamper their public image but also relieves them of the psychological trauma of being in a disgraced profession. Also it is always said that men need to relieve themselves, well if they are so desperate in life they need to get married n sleep with their wives. Men should not be allowed to let go just because they are men. As stated by Abhay "Prostitution was started by men for men by using women" i would say "let women abandon prostitution for other women using men". Its great to have support from Men like Abhay.

Thanks Giving Speech : Last Day of Diploma Graduation

   I know, i don't look the like the TYPE, but yes Being a GS (General Secretary) at my Diploma college I had the privilege or the Burden to give a thanks giving speech. I donno if it went well or not thats up to you to decide but this is how it goes.

   "Accomplishment and success, Often is a result of perseverance and hard work rather than skill and talent." Today standing before you as the big day dawns, I see all of my friends happy & delighted to step in a new world of success, to step in a world where everything is a question or by Mrs. Ambuja's language "an unbalanced mathematical equation", to go somewhere where hurdles are countless but the optimistic attitudes are like pearls in the ocean. Life is really very difficult to walk by just getting simple landmarks, if you trust they will help. Life would be replica of just Mrs. Mahajan theory "Its either 0 or 1, either you succeed in your life or you go for a toss". Either you win or you are like 70% of public loosing hopes , hard to accept vivid truth of life 'Failure'.
   Today is something i cannot forget, Today is something we cannot forget because even if i weren't your best of the students Patil sir,You sure did teach me respect to language. We would always miss these days because whenever we would bunk our lectures we wont get another Katkar Sir to give us kiddish yet horrible punishments like "holding our ears". I would really be thankful to you Mukund Sir to show the connection between success and me. Interfacing hard-work with my skill so that i could reach the IP Address of my destiny. The cable may be co-axial one like me(Bekar Engineer) or a fibre optic piece of Amogh Walawalkar(Mr Brilliant of our class). The source transmission speed of you mukund Sir always remained the same.
   Today i wont forget because whenever the logic of my life was wrong, Whenever my given Input(playing counter-strike) would never produce desired output(scoring distinction), Whenever my

   Lastly बाला jar tuza Logic CLEAR tar sagle kahi CLEAR. Whenever i was wrong bombarding me with 'Chukla' 'Chukla' 'Chukla' . How can i forget multiple talented Mrs. Bhatiya Ma'am teaching simultaneously multiple subjects and still finishing syllabus in time.

   I would at the end like to express gratitude to all my friends for being a positive inspiration in either  Mass-Bunking  or  Maska Maring  I would like to say something about my class CO3A. Our class would stand out of lectures for punishments and that is why our class is the most out-standing batch in history of Muchhala Polytechnic. I would like to thank the college authorities for giving us the courtesy to use internet 1/2 hour the whole year. I would like to thank Katkar sir to be very linient

Although every project is a team effort, There are some people who deserve credit for amazing work. I would talk about creative today.

Lemme Introduce you to my personal favorite Ashwini Vyaas and Prashant Mudhalkar. As the religion goes, building rep about your guest makes your audience enthusiastic about the interview. Being part of various sucessfull online campaigns such as Cadbury Meetha Bomb, Cadbury Meetha Message, SuperScrap , Royal Challengers and also Legrand Arteor he considers his commendable works on web. Prashant has worked on BigTv, Big Wall, Aparna Enterprise Royal Challengers with a really good experience of 6 years in consumer web.

So lets know about insights of creative and let us see how do people like ashwini really transform dreams into web pages.

Dhavalyours: Dude lets cut the hi/hello talk crap and jump directly to the point. Who according to you is a creative ???

Ashwini: Person who is not restricted within water tight compartments of thoughts and can think of making the impossible possible. Every single pixel can define marvels of web designing

Prashant : The designer who can understand users requirement and communicate with user visually.

Dhavalyours: What does creative have to take in mind while making web pages ??

Ashwini: 1) User friendly 2) Interactive 3) Engaging 4) Content must be conveyed direct and simple. 5)Sustaining interest of the user.

Prashant : He should understand the medium very well. Technical limitations + possibilities of any medium. How he is going to deploy and how user is reaching to page. Think from users point of view what kindda hardware, kindda bandwidth he is equipped with, his Age Group,his Educational Level,his Community,his Nationality These all things should be taken seriously.Lets take an example of Shaadi.com Here our target audience is Indians Who are getting married. So the age group is young 20-30 and context is marriage So here the color palette for designer should be vibrant color + Indian traditional colors. Color palette is very important,Color evokes emotion.

Dhavalyours: and seriously no Joke How much do u take care while making a web page ? There must be tricky situations where you have to ignore certain facts and concentrate on imp. ones So which are those imp. details that you never miss in your web pages.

Ashwini: Actually i miss each and every guide line but i keep in mind to keep the content in 1024 by 768 pixels.

Prashant : Basics things don't take time, So i will take care of basic hygine like Every page should be usable, Visually less beautiful is fine but the purpose of page should be satisfied, Position of element is more important than Beautification, Layout and grid should be in place first. Graphical content may come later, Position your elements text,image,video in Layout. and then work in Graphical entities, Google has a classic approach of minimalistic design keeping page clean and action-centric and it works :)

Dhavalyours: How can creative be maximum productive ? In the sense what do u need a proper brief ? a proper machine ? proper work environment etc??

Ashwini: A written brief so that people cannot manipulate it after creative is been delivered. Good Machine like Mac, Tablet dual monitor in video editing and also inventories like images,contents reference images. This much is for me creative-heaven.

Prashant : Compared to other medium web requires less hardware and best thing about web is you can produce on desktop. Hardware really doesn't matter. Window / Mac doesn't matter. Ideally i would require a good space where you can put your machine, sketch pad, big white board, Ipod , Good internet speed and lots of books on design reference. A small digital camera to collect digital references. Print is still far ahead from web Still Best designs are on print than web.

Dhavalyours: Which has been the most challenging task and how did you solve it ??

Prashant : Castrol Badge in Castrol Cricket is my innovation. There was a need of a visual symbol which presents performance of team and player and which was eventually becomes visual unit of Castrol Cricket and requirement was it to be scalable, skin able which can have inter-site,intra-site application. It has become a brand-value for Castrol Cricket.

Dhavalyours: Can you share with us your most favorite web design and explain why it is truly amazing ?

Ashwini: My One unpublished project but my personal favorite design wise

Prashant : I personally feel i have not created my best site as yet. But bigtv was my one creatively exclusive work

Dhavalyours: What is worse ? getting your creative rejected or getting ample of changes in existing creative making it completely unusable?

Ashwini: Ample of changes in existing creative making the creative alien to me.At end of the making it is not my baby.

Prashant : Most of the designers make this mistake. They do not differentiate between art and design. Art is something that you create Its your expression you don't care about user Design is not like art. Design is something you are creating for someone else. So CHANGES will be there. Change is must in design. Now i m pissed off when i m briefed with 1 kind of requirement and you have created 1 visual and if in the next meeting the brief is changed. Main purpose of design should be very clear. Signup page brief is User should be able to sign up. Somebody should not come and tell me user should not signup here he should click on the right hand side ads. The most complicated things have 1 line brief.Research should be long Brief should be short that is why we call it BRIEF right :) Try to learn the art of getting Approval Better Communication, Start with paper pencil 90 % problems get solved.

Dhavalyours: With web evolving every single day how do you make sure you are in touch with latest web design techniques ??

Ashwini: Generally i have 2-3 reference websites which updates me about latest technology used on web like 1) http://thefwa.com/ 2) http://www.smashingmagazine.com/

Prashant : There are so many sites but A List Apart , Site Point , FFFound it is a image bookmarking website very useful.

Dhavalyours: :: What is 1 design element that always work that you may call it as sure success ??

Ashwini: Classy Glossy Effect always works if not placed under a grunge background. Like Apple

Prashant : There is no design element which would work everywhere. Whatever is functional and loads fast works.

Dhavalyours: Your design tips for new guys getting in this field ?

Prashant : Best way of learning web design is to see different web design. Every day try to understand 1 good website. Don't hesitate to go back in your design process. GO BACK correct your mistake and continue further.

What is magic behind 5 second websites ?

As I would practically say This post is not about how to make your websites load faster, People have done commendable job at it here here and here. This post is about the development process which makes it really easier for you to actually make 5 second websites. I believe the roots of faster web loading come right from starting

   Have you ever wondered Why did your website took ages to load ?? Do your users sip a cup of coffee while your website takes its comfortable time in loading. As a web developer I started my career almost 2 years ago. That was after i miraculously happened to clear my Engineering. After being part of many successful projects like Great Driving Challenge, Legrand Arteor, Linc My Diary, Castrol Cricket   I certainly thought i knew almost everything about web development. and 'BAM' there i was wrong. I had a conversation with my sister and it went like this

Avani(My sis) :: So Dha Whts new ?, Whts your new project ?
Dhavalyours :: Castrol Cricket visit the website and tell me how it is ?
(After 2 mins. )
Avani(My sis) :: Its still loading Dhaval. dont worry i will check it out later.
Dhavalyours :: Di it should load by this time.
Avani(My sis) ::  I have 'dial up connection' remember and if u think u are smart .... make your website Google Fast, Why does not your site load in less than 5 secs ???

   That's when the entire idea of 5 Second websites idea kicked in. I dived into my teams production cycle. It looked something like below graph.Lemme say you one thing, i work in a digital agency, We code mostly in RAD (Rapid Application Development.) model. So your company working process model may differ, but below is how we used to work.

In this entire process of changes->development->changes, the factor of High Performance Websites is almost been lost or ignored. Due to unanticipated changes in the work flow, Code becomes more and more buggier and complex. But hey our topic is not web development its fast websites.
As Per the Yahoo 19 High performance website rules , i would state only major and that helped me a lot to actually make a 5 second website as in state it is today.(Do not know when creative changes the entire design :) ) http://www.xoassembly.com/ For actually putting into practice the High Performance Rules, traditional way of product making should change.

Work Flow Of developing high performance websites.

Hey Hey now do not freak out. Its not as complicated as it looks. :)

Now before developing all the content appearing in the page has to be analyzed thoroughly by web dev and web designer. Its not an independent task , Its a collaborative task. Different content needs to be taken care of in a different way so that it is been optimized for web.

For starters ::

1) Configure your Server ( little pain but trust me it helps a lot.) Following settings i recommend.

i) Enable Gzip compresion

   ii) Caching headers for text, image, js, css,flash.

2) Use YSlow : YSlow is a plugin that comes with FireFox. It needs Firebug to be installed. YSlow grades your website depending on several yahoo High Performance rules parameters.  If you get rating of above 90 in YSlow you are doing really really good. I know it is not possible to be above merit list in all pages but try hard not to get below 85. YSlow  gives you tips and grade to what part of the page you need to improve to make your page load faster.

3) Use PageSpeed : Like YSlow , PageSpeed  is also a plugin that is extension to  Firebug  It is a Google Plugin which analyzes the page according to Google Performance rules  PageSpeed helps you to

   ii) Compress your images.
   ii) Compress your javascript/ css.

PageSpeed actually compresses your JavaScript / CSS on Spot and gives you compressed file download ( one more reason why I LOVE Google)

4) Use domain alias to your rescue. It is always better to set a cookie to 1 particular domain than to set a cookie globally unless u need it. I would say you can set a cookie at www.xyz.com than at .xyz.com
If you set your cookie at www.xyz.com and you request content from www.xyz.com
eg.
if you request content like www.xyz.com/1.jpg cookie is been sent along with your request header.
but if you request content from static1.xyz.com/1.jpg it is a cookie-less domain and no cookie info will be sent. It helps a lot when your requesting content size increases

5)Use Domain alias for simultaneous loading. Eg. if you have 2 resources
   i) www.xyz.com/a.css
   ii)www.xyz.com/b.css
until a.css is finished loading, loading of b.css would not start but if you use and alias like   i) www.xyz.com/a.css
   ii) static1.xyz.com/b.css
loading of a.css and b.css would start simultaneously.

Lg Monitor Problems : White Lines on Monitor

The worst thing that can happen after buying a new computer that only few months after you bought it parts go haywire. The same thing happened to me. My computer was just 8 months old and my monitor had problem there was a white line on my monitor. I noticed it day 1. I thought rainy season effect, would disappear in some time. Forget disappearing lines continue to grow. Now this was last stage my monitor has 6 white lines thick enough to really really get me angry. I went to my comp shop and as expected he ditched me. "Take a new monitor". Did you get a feeling of murdering a guy once in your life ?? i had it.

Now since the most assured hope had failed me, i was pissed looked into web for solutions Googled it and following 2 solutions i found repeatedly.

1) Check all the connections. (unplug and plug it again as if i had never done it before)

2) Its a major problem monitor replace if under guarantee is the only solution.

Lg monitor comes with a 3 year warranty at least my monitor came with that. This is how i saved my trouble

Call them mention your problem. My misfortune number was out dated so it did not work.

This is an online complaint registration form

STEP 2 Fill in proper and exact details including your mobile number and home address

STEP 3 Mention your problem elaborately in the description area. This is what i wrote

"My monitor has developed white lines on left and right side of screen. Its is growing day by day My monitor is just 1 year old. It is under warranty."

The lg repair guy would visit your house in 3 working days. (at least thts the time they took for me.)

As i head read my monitor had to be replaced. He visited after few days and my monitor was replaced.

On Internet is just a pain in you know what to find an actual solution to this issue. So if you have a problematic Lg Monitor trust me their service center works and works well and pretty fast. So if your monitor is under warranty just call the guy and he will do the needful and absolutely F R E E.

   Oh my God kinda response i got my first series of Bekar Engineer : Jandu ki kahani Hero ki zubani  was amazing. I m getting a feeling of being a miniature Chetan Bhagat already. Journey continues as follows ...

   After having cheek-smashing thappad-resultive session with 'PAPA' i had no choice what-so-ever so i called Soham

call rings..... ring 1... ring2 ... ring3 ...

Soham : (almost catching his breadth ) Baap ne kitna thappad maara ???

Bekar Eng. : ( How can entire Muchhala Polytechnic know my father more than me ?) Chod yaar bata form kidhar se lena hain ?

Soham : Ahmad tha kya ?? ha ha .. i would have paid a million dollar to see u getting samshed in front of your dad. Saale chaddi pehen ne ki akkal hain nai dukan dalega ??? Kal Vasai milte hain subah 7:30 baje sharp.

Bekar Eng. : Abe Rajdhani ko salaam dega kya 7:30 baje. form submission kabhi shuru hoga ?

Soham : Pagal Vasai mein 3 college 8:00 baje chalu hote hain. 7:30-9:30 2 ghanta devi-darshan karna hain 10:30 ko vartak mein form submit karna hain. Aur haan BHIKARI Rs.800 leke aana form bharne ke liye utna jol lagta hain.

Now that is one deadly advantage you get being born in a Gujrati family. Whenever God comes around your mom will do anything for u and that is 1 more reason why i love my mom the most.

i know how much i hated to do this. but i called Savio

Bekar Eng. : oye savy bol na yaar kya karna hain kuch samaj nahi aa raha.

Savio : Dude these guys have inter-college Bachelor in Computer engineering and Bachelor in Information technology form. You have to pay 500 bucks to the blue-shirted gentle man over there who would give you a green form, a white form and a college information brochure. Now depending upon your area of interest and your percentage you have to choose 30 of 895 colleges listed in brochure to apply for. { getting enthusiastic and light glowing in his eyes through his 50 inch eye-glasses. YES like every other scholar Savio did have thick glasses. } Mumbai university has this solid process where using an computer algorithm and your percentage and your college priority you will be allotted a college.

Jandu : kya bola ?? saala ganja maar ke aaya hain kya??

That was the problem with Savio he couldn't speak English. Not the one we understood. we did the obvious we went over to the blue peon his name was Vilas.

Soham : ( giving Rs. 50 to peon) are yaar form bharwa dena sirf 4 log hain .

Vilas : (very happy ) kuch nai re yeh white form pe apna naam, baaju mein baap k naam likho.

Jandu : Woh college ka naam kidhar likhna hain ??

Vilas : Are tension nako re. Kisi ne likha rahega chaap lene ka.

we were mumbai university students !!! Nobody in the world understood meaning of word chaap leneka more than us. We could xerox copy anything from a C program to assignment. We excelled in that.

Ghantuda : Savio college list de.

Soham : abe saale yeh toh sabke pass hain !!! Tuje chahiye toh mera brocher bhi ghar leke jaa tune jo college ka list bhara hain woh de.

Savio : No no i have filled acording to my percentage. You know i was first in our college and i got 86%. Mera college mein tumko admission nahi milega.

Viral was writing something very carefully.

Bekar Eng. : kya kar raha hain ?

Viral : Savio ka form hain baat kar raha hain tab tak chaap le. ( he winked.)

And that was the way how we filled our engineering forms. We were blank as always but we were pretty confident that we were right since we copied from the topper. and i hit the Target

After getting my ABC's clear, a special someone(http://twitter.com/KathySierra) tweeted 'm confused by your site/software, a "feedback" button just pisses me off. The "feedback" button helps YOU, not ME. Where's MY button?' Hey she is right. Feed Back Button Helps the makers of the application. What about the really angry guy who is just not getting what he wants to do. Don't even think about talking HELP ME links . Even some of the Best Websites Fail in giving perfect Help Me solutions to users. WHY ?

1) Seldom People use Help Me
2) Few get the links to solution For their Problem
3) Very Few actually manage to solve their Problems
4) What does your website provide for a really.......... really,really pissed off user ?

How about Giving user a WTF button where he can abuse his heart out. He can clearly tell the Makers "IF YOU HAVE GIVEN YOUR BEST... YOUR BEST IS NOT GOOD ENOUGH... YOUR BEST SUCKS".
Still thinking how this helps ? Hey your User is not some Dumb Guy wasting his Internet Money only to see your screwed up work. Remember he is the ULTIMATE CLIENT. So we do not create what we Like but we Create how HE would LIKE IT. You are not abusing a web user OR not decreasing your website credibility by adding WTF. You are giving user respect. Treating him as your equal which he would always Love.
And Yes Bolder The Copy Higher The Attention.

How about making your website user's Best Buddy. Communicate the way user likes to be interacted. Give a rocking young feeling to your website. So Let's Take this to another Level. Why Only restrict users just to abuse Also give him tongue to make u happy. How about ... Fucking Awesome Button

Every person has a writer soul in him, the difference is whether he is worse than others or not. Well i stepped in the baby world of blogging i had just 2 things in mind.

Write Great content and get thousands of fans making me famous.
Try to make some buck out of my writing talent.

I FAILED. and the obvious reason was i wrote great article, and expected my popularity grow and be followed by thousands of fans etc. but it didn't happen. I realized its not about publishing great content its also about letting the world finding it. So below are few points for new bloggers to let world know what they do write.

1) Let the search engines, blogging-search engines know you. Open an account at Technorati. Verify your blog token by publishing a post and include your token in it. This is my token as i publish the post MJ3KTW54MR. Technorati comes to your blog once in a day so it will scrape the new content.

2) Hey you also might wanna ping the world about your new post. You can try Ping-O-Matic. Go to PIng-O-Matic, Enter your blog details select all and click PING.

3) Web Blogs.com is also similar webblog post pinging site.

4) You can open account in Indi-Blogger and get listed.

Final few words as my marketing team told me Blog regularly, market regularly and find some way to get your money rolling
